Hey all,

I’ve finally switched to a seedbox (rapidseedbox). So far I am quite disapointed in the download/upload speed. Download isn’t really an issue, but upload certainly is. Most times its between 0.1 to 50 k/s . Sometimes i’ll get a peak at 2-3 m/s.

In about 10 days i uploaded 120gb. Which is about 2-3 times what I did from home, previously, in a single day. Its not that much of a problem on iptorrents. But, for the files I need that are not on freeleech, its a tiny buffer that I’m struggling to build.

I tried playing with the settings (deluge), to no avail. When I contacted them, they mentioned the issue was the lack of leechers on the torrents I had, which is bs if you ask me. Some of the torrents i grabbed were a few seconds old, and had a large leecher pool. Also, I did way better on my personnal setup, with similar usage of torrents.

Any of you have success story with rapidseedbox? Or tweaks that could help? I’m considering abandonning ship and moving to ultracc. Only issue I have with that, is that I’m unsure if I can have two active seedboxes on iptorrents at the same time. Although they do mention allowing 3 ip addresses (just not just if its one at a time, or up to 3 connected).

Thanks,

Bob

I can’t comment on Rapidseed, but I’ve been on Ultra for 2 years with only good experience.

I see they have 2 sorts of plans, the ones with a shared upload pool, and the one with you own. Would you mind telling me which one you’re using, did you switch plans at some point? Thanks :)

I use the cheapest Tank plan (shared pool). Speeds up/down are blazing fast. I do transcoding with Plex and it’s always been flawless.

Reach out to their support if you find you have any issues, they reply very quickly.

Awesome, thank you! The few screenshots and testimonies I read were good. I just wished I heard about them first :D.

I suspect they have shared bandwidth. One day I get huge download speeds through sometimes one day it slows down. Note torrents usually download fast only direct download goes slow (use IDM for boost)
