It’s alright. There’s a few bugs, but overall I like it. The only thing I don’t like is my bank (Sofi) and motorcycle (Geico) insurance apps don’t work. I can do that online so now worried and I spend on my credit card (capital one) so I don’t really worry about how much is in my bank.
Last time I checked there were some modules you could install with Magisk that theoretically prevented these issues. Have you looked into it? That’s the only thing that keeps me away from trying out a custom ROM, unfortunately :/
