      Sadly, I think you are correct. My grandmother, a Hungarian Jew who survived the Nazi concentration camps, says the current climate feels just like it did before. It terrifies me.

        People are scared and feel powerless about an uncertain future they don’t understand and can’t control. Fascism unfortunately arises from very common and natural human needs and psychological defense mechanisms against stress and uncertainty. It never goes away and it’s potentially within all of us.
