This is my Surly Long Haul Trucker! All of the branding was removed by a previous owned who lived in a city and was concerned about theft, so I’m happy to have an anonymous bike!

I do actually have a rack, but I took it off this past weekend because I added a spray paint layer to it. Haven’t needed it yet this week, but I am going to get it put back on when I have time in the evening at some point soon

Very cool looking bike! How long is your (daily) commute?

My daily commute is about 14km round trip. How about yourself? Do you have a daily commute?

Oh wow, mine is much shorter, I only go 3.5km in one direction. So the bike is a no-brainer. In winter, I’m quite happy about that though :)

Nice. Yes, biking in the winter is a much different experience! I live in Canada, but it doesn’t snow too much in the part where I live. Just rains a lot, which is kind of just whatever. A good rain jacket/pants/boots situation makes it not so much of a big deal

Thank you! It’s my baby for sure…I’m considering swapping out the handlebars for something like the Velo Orange Crazy Bars or the Koga Denham bars. I want something that gives me more of a swooped handlebar for day-to-day riding, but also drop-style hand positions for longer rides. I think that’s going to be my next big project.

Good idea! I personally found that a more upright riding (due to the swoop) gives me much better awareness of my surroundings compared to riding with dropbars. Every bit helps when trying to dodge blind cars and riding defensively!

Love the color and A319s are great rims for the commute

I have a mirror on the left handlebar drop, and I have a cell-phone holder on the crossbar. I actually took it off right after this photo was snapped…I use it while cycling on the trainer in my garage but put it away when I’m out on the road.
