    As someone taking Political Science and Psychology, I will say it’s useful but not in a vacuum.

    At my university there is encouragement for critical thinking which is very important when taking a Political class in the west. I learned a whole lot and will continue to, but I also had to keep my wits about me as the course content was at best dismissive of Marxism, and at worst very hostile. Although, my papers and essays were explicitly Marxist in nature and yet I still did very well. I’m getting my degree because I can and I know people tend to listen more when you have a piece of paper to back you up.

    There’s also the fact that taking these classes will help you better navigate the world, I think that’s what’s most important.
