    You probably don’t think about plant roots all that much

    How rude. I’m sure the (checks notes) dozen or so of us think about them plenty.

    Past that, I wonder if these oscillations are related to plants’ uptake and release of fungal and bacterial cells or if they’re an entirely separate function.
