    Big fan of these things. Just weird and cool, hyperspecific to that terrain and those circumstances. Some other fun ones to look up are the archemedes’ screw amphibious vehicle for wandering around in Siberia, the Ekranoplan, the utterly bizzare pre-soviet Tsar tank protoype from WWI, all the weird Soviet prototype "object whatever’ tanks. So much weird, interesting, sometimes viable sometimes not experiments.
