I think parents should control their children’s access to the Internet. Teachers are allowed to have a life outside of their extremely demanding underpaid job without puritans demanding that they be a role model for children in every aspect of their lives.

      Your dodging the question:

Do you think her students aren’t aware and checking her content; or do you think it doesn’t impact her ability to teach them?

You’re right there’s a lot of things parents should do. It’s pretty much impossible to completely control a teenagers access, though, and entirely outside of the school’s ability to control. Particularly when students start passing them around off line.

I think your arguments are presumptious and that you aren’t asking a question in good faith. It doesn’t matter if her students are aware of it or not, if she’s not bringing it up in the classroom, she isn’t doing anything wrong.

Explain exactly why this makes it impossible for her to effectively teach. I’ll engage once you’ve actually constructed an argument.

Are you really going to insist that, having watched pornn of some one; your perception of them hasn’t changed?

Perhaps you’re a better human than most. Or entirely disinterested. It’s 2024, they’re hormone-riddled teenagers, at least some of them have watched their teacher in a porno.

Even if nothing “happens”, it will be a distraction. There will be those people that aren’t cool about, too. Either freaking out as puritanical assholes or those who can’t handle a crush with out being a creep.

We don’t live in an ideal world. It’s not fair, it’s. It not right. But reality is that this is a massive legal liability for the school- one they cannot afford.

Ideally, none of this matters. we don’t live in an ideal world and even if we did and it wasn’t a liability then it will always be a distraction. Because this is 2024 and it takes 2 seconds to plug her name into one of a dozen search engines, all of which are going to come up with “teacher suspended/fired for Only Fans” as the top few pages.

It’s not her fault. It’s not the schools fault. But it is reality. And reality is jerk.

This entire response was intellectually bankrupt, so I’ll limit my response to the part that stood out:

            Ideally, none of this matters

Too bad people like you fuck that up.
