Most apps on the list are lemmy apps, meaning they don’t work with kbin. Artemis is specifically designed to work with kbin, not sure if or when any of the other ones will go in that direction or become interoperable as there are some challenges with the kbin API at the moment. Having said that, a new API is in the works so things should get better with time.
I made a neat table, here u go:

Hoping they approve this sometime today. Surprised it’s taken this long, but I have a feeling the fact it’s a “social media” app is what might get it held up for a bit. We will see though. Apple was much better about this.
As far as the compact view, I’m definitely taking feedback on this right now since frankly I don’t ever use that sort of view anyway. Not sure exactly what people want to see. Let me know!
have you used rif? might be time to download it and use it while it lasts cuz it won’t be there for reference after june 30
I took some screenshots for you.
Interesting. I’ll be honest, simplistic UIs are actually some that I like (if I could just have a times new roman font with white background I’d be fine with it!) and that looks like what this might be. I’ve heard a LOT of people used RIF, so there’s obviously interest in this.
I also don’t want to do TOO much and have a ridiculous amount of bulk and clutter. I’m really liking the fact that a large number of apps are popping up and (hopefully) that relieves some of the stress of having to match the interests of a HUGE group of people all with conflicting feelings. While I personally really do enjoy and use Apollo, I’d like to not be a clone of it but have things be a bit different (currently have some mockups of some ideas).
If someone (from what I see the best looking one is Artemis by harriet) comes up with something that is a near identical clone, it would give me good room to make some changes that I’d like as well.
Anyway, I’ll take those screenshots and see how I might be able to blend a more simplistic view. Thanks!
If it’s helpful, I’m a HUGE fan of the way compact mode is handled in Boost for Reddit:
(No idea of that will display right, never tried to post an image in Lemmy before)
