Many devices have gotten cheaper than their alternatives because of the grotesque amount of data they collect. So assuming that cheaper means more invasive seems perfectly plausible, I can’t fault you for that.

While there is obviously a correlation, it definitely isn’t a causality, and I feel strange breaking it down like that.
