So I decided to watch nichijou, and it’s uh…umm… pretty crazy, however one thing I can’t tell is what all those strange scenes in the first two episodes, those rope skipping scenes, traffic light in the street scenes in the first episode, and the countryside scenes in the second episode are supposed to represent, I can’t make to seem head nor tails of them, do they get explained later? Or am I dumb?
I don’t think there’s an explanation. Nichijou is, I think, based on a four-panel comic, not a serial, so there’s no overarching story, just a lot of vignettes. It’s silly and completely non sequitur.
