That’s a good point actually. I haven’t heard the term “antimoderation” before now, but it is very fitting for reddit. Every subreddit I was a part of back when I still had an account was either quarantined or had the mods change suddenly, with an equally sudden change in what is and isn’t acceptable there. Redditors often talk about how a sub goes above a certain number of subscribers it loses what made it good in the first place, and that’s probably due to general astroturfing and making sure to control the narrative.
The admins literally install fascist moderators in any subreddit that gets too big, and at least half of them have direct ties to the three-letters. The only time they don’t is if the modteam is already fascist like was the case with bonehurtingjuice and that one alt-right subreddit that the admins revived against the will of its creators/modteam after they had a change of heart and realized what they were doing was fucked up.
I don’t like that at all, not only is it using right wing language but it also clobbers the fact that you can be a progressive and still be a fascist. A lot of these types think that because they’re progressive they can’t be a fascist, when that couldn’t be further from the truth. The essence of what Nazis wanted was progression towards a perfect human race. Progression isn’t always a good thing like all progressives just assume, in fact, boiling everything down to a single bar that should go up and not down is the core of fascist thought.
Youtube nazis are actual people, reddit’s just fascist astroturf. Youtube is (effectively) unmoderated, reddit actively antimoderates.

Woke Stormfront is a more accurate description of Reddit.
Reddit is actually where I coined the term “progressive fascist”
Or woke fascist as I like to call it.
Woke in this context meaning wokewashing.

I disagree. If I make an edgy joke, regardless of context, I either get demonetized or get my privileges revoked like with Let’s Go Brandon video.
