IMO based on how Epic tends to operate, I think it’s actually because Linux is a lot more hackable than Windows and has tons more avenues for defeating anticheat and especially for bypassing DRM, which is a dealbreaker for a corporation trying to extract as much money and data from the game as possible. Can’t have you doing dances when you haven’t bought the vbucks after all.
