I have tried on a Dell Latitude 7390, it gets past the load-up icons screen at the start but then goes to a panic. Right now that machine is running a Linux and also has Haiku in a VM, has FreeDOS in dosbox, and has an apple II e emulator. Emulation and VMs to visit the past.
Hah, cool. And yep, for some unknown reason Haiku sometimes just panic, I think it’d be worth it if you reported that and the configuration of the laptop on one of their communities/communication ways, forum, issue tracker or Matrix/IRC channels.
And, since you like older OSes. Have you heard about infinity Mac?
