I refuse to listen to self-proclaimed “stoics” that have turned their careers into only talking about stoicism.

It’s excessively hypocritical given that claim to knowledge requires both theory and practice.

Ongoing practice, using stoicism as a means to achieve other things in life is the goal. Anything else, is just stoic-masturbation (excuse the vernacular)

    Sure but you need to have constant action to justify your “practice”. When your career is based solely on “communicating” then you’re not in a position to claim knowledge as you are devoid of “action”/“practice” to complement the "theory.

    Aka: When I ever I hear these types I always ask “What did you do with your beliefs”? “What did you accomplish to start speaking about how to live”?

    Or else, anyone with eloquence can claim anything. Our actions are the loudest speech of our beliefs and their usefulness.
