Look at here and the people who complain about it being too hard to figure out are the ones complaining about “I can’t use muh slurs, this is awful.”

“The left of today is very much in favour of censorship to avoid “harm.” This makes those of us in the middle very wary of signing up to any partisan media.” /u/decidedlysticky23

/u/misshapensteed claims he isn’t far right, but explictly only posts on PoliticalCompassMemes and TheLeftCantMeme and KotakuInAction.

If they are too stupid to figure out we know they’re lying, they’re too stupid to figure out lemmy.

I just want to find communities for things that interest me. Politics isn’t one of them, but I understand that this is a new thing and that it will take some time. General interest communities will eventually be just as big here as they were at reddit. Besides, if there’s a community that pops up on feed that I don’t want to see, I’ll just block it. No big

Thing is, when the freeze peach warriors talk about politics, they don’t mean which political party you’re voting for. They mean shit like Trans people in video games, black people as the protagonist in movies, and getting called out or banned from a space for using racial or other slurs.

And importantly, being able to tune out and ignore those kinds of things, as well as what politicians say and do, is political as well. Some people don’t really get a choice; the world makes it for them.
