Don’t dox yourself. Try to limit your information to a Maidenhead locator or general area of at least a few kilometers in an urban area and a few dozen in rural areas.

I’m from South Hesse, in Germany. Some of the most regarded German comedians (yes, they exist) are from around here and we have a pretty diverse culture, both traditionally German and from immigrants.

So, where do you live and how is it?

I live in Almada, Portugal, just one or two bridges (or a ferry) away from Lisbon. I live out in the suburbs of Almada, so it’s generally pretty peaceful here, while still being relatively close to the capital. My workplace is also close to where I live, so I don’t have to cross the river and deal with all the traffic and people commuting to Lisbon.

Oh, and I live like half an hour away from the beach. So yeah, all things considered, I’m pretty happy with where I live.

There’s a few, yeah. Unfortunately, housing prices in or near big cities right now are pretty much unsustainable for your average portuguese Joe. If you’re coming from a wealthier country and live a somewhat comfortable life, you’ll probably have an easier time settling in, though. But even then, it’s not as easy as it used to be.
