I started reading his works late last year, and I’ve had a hard time putting them down. I’ve finished his 5 major works and have read a few of his lesser known stories.

Are there any fans of his here?

I’ve been reading the brothers Karamazov. Is a bit of a slog. But the prose is amazing. Which other works of his would you recommend?

I’ve read all of his major works and some of his lesser known ones. Crime and Punishment is good as well as Demons. But I liked them all. TBK can be a slog at times but it gets really interesting.

Note that, depending on how much of a slog you’re finding it, the Pevear/Volokhonsky translations are amazing. They’re a couple, one is a native English speaker who understands Russian, the other is a native Russian speaker who understands English. Their translations are modern, easy to read (well, relatively, given that it’s Dostoevsky lol), and accurate. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

I’ll be sure to try these translations in the future. Thanks mate. I’m at 52% of the brothers Karamazov rn. Has picked up quite well. He captures the way people think and behave in a captivating and thought provoking manner for me.

I love Brothers Karamazov, remember it picking up in the second act. Crime and Punishment is great also. I’m planning on reading Notes from the Underground soon.
