      i guess i can imagine some not-strictly-sociopathic tendencies biting this bullet? but i’d describe the commonalities between them as “very weird and extremely non-mainstream, for good reason”–think stuff in the alley of solipsism

        True, I was wondering if maybe a nihilist might be in favor of this, but ultimately decided most nihilists probably wouldn’t care either way.

        A concrete example of something like this happening in practice was ancient leaders being buried with their wives, slaves, etc., presumably so they would all go to the after life together or whatever. Of course we naturally find this practice abhorrent even though it was considered perfectly normal at the time 🤷
