That's hitting consumers hard, forcing them to change what kind of food they buy and how much of it they can afford. Businesses also are rethinking what they sell as food prices in Hungary have surged more than 45% over the year. In the European Union, those costs have jumped 19.6%. An ING Hungary economist says the country's “extreme inflation” can be traced to inefficiencies in farming and food processing and a historic devaluation of the currency. That's made the surge in food prices worse than in other European economies also facing a cost-of-living crisis fueled by Russia’s war in Ukraine.
Ah yes, the good old I’m not personally affected yet so everything is fine. The reality is that Europe lost access to cheap energy, and now has to compete for LNG on the spot market. There will be ups and downs in the prices, but the overall trend here is pretty clear. Since you evidently don’t understand the basics of supply and demand, I really don’t know what else to tell you. Needless to say, you won’t have to wait too long to find out what that means for you personally.

I’ve explained the mechanics of what’s happening to you several times here. You just ignored that and kept repeating how your bills haven’t gone up as much yet. The proof of my claims will be evident to you as your cost of living continues to climb.
