Why should a person like this get appeals? Why do black taxpayers get to pay for the mercy granted to someone who deserves neither life nor a quick death? Appeals are for when there might be a mistake and we might be sentencing an innocent person. There’s proof beyond even beyond a reasonable doubt in this case.
I still don’t want to pay for that.
Why does it have to be 20 years? Plenty of developed countries get it done in less than a year or even less than a month. If we’re assuming that the system is set up in a way that only (1) the worst of the worst and (2) we’re absolutely sure they did it, beyond even the normal doctrine of “beyond a reasonable doubt”, which it absolutely has to be to prevent wrongful executions, why the wait?
