I’ve been thinking about banning those “aww” posts for some time. You know those posts flared with “aww” on r/autism? I like those posts, but they unnecessarily clutter up the subreddit; and I think I would prefer this community to be a more serious discussion platform.


Also I’m going to change a term in rule 1: ‘related’ to ‘relevant’. Relevancy is a more definition to my idea of rule 1.

      For me the main thing I really am itching to discuss is…

      For many of us, we’re terrified of telling anyone that we’re autistic. Personally, I know it would just screw me over in just about any context.

      I’m BIPOC and my psychologist is BIPOC too-- she straight up told me to be extremely careful with who I talk to, in terms of saying that I am autistic. Told me not to mention it to police, nor to fill it out on any official paperwork because she’s convinced that it will just create massive problems for me in the end because she’s seen in happen in the past to clients.
