I couldnt find an ifixit page for the pinetime probably because the device is currently not as well known. I was wondering how replacing the battery is like.

Battery is very easy i think. Just heat thr back a bit to soften the rubber glue and lift up thr back. The battery is right there

To be honest i dont think this will be a huge issue for you, you propaply wont wear it so long it will die. The funcionalities are pretty limited and its not super smooth experience. Its mor of a fun thing to play around with

The functionalities are as limited as you want them to be. The device is running on open source software and you can implement whatever you wish. You can also pay someone to have them implement functions for you. I would for example consider building an app for the pinetime for money if anyone wants that.

The main thing that annoys me is the notification and overall design to be honest. I dont think the project has a ton of designers, because its quite a nerdy project for programmers. And the heart rate sensor does not run propperly when the app is closed, even tought it shows the red heart, so it knows it should be doing stuff

It is bleeding a bleeding edge device for people that want total control over their device. If you really want stuff to be different, you can change it. Its literally one percent of a mid range apple watch so I‘d just stop complaining if I were you and start either to put in work or money if you want things to be different.
