An apology is hollow without reparations and vowing to never again repeat the same crimes. The US is still bombing native people to oblivion in Palestine and elsewhere, and refuses to pay for its past crimes and return the stolen lands.

While the rebuilt Angoon received $90,000 in a settlement with the Department of Interior in 1973

Even in 1973 I don’t think $90,000 was a lot of money or a fair compensation

the same people & system that genocided my ancestors out of existence in this country are now doing the same thing to the gazans so a promise to never do it again would be pointless and the only land they might ever get back would become like a native american reservation; where the isreali government has ultimate say.

i suspect that future gazans will have a similar generational poverty stricken, governmental purse string dependent style of existence in isreal that the native americans experience in reservations today in this country & canada; complete with populations genocided into small enough numbers that it guarantees that they will never again be able to resist the boot on their collective necks like it happens time and again in this country today.
