Ryota (MC) dies in real world, and drops from a slime in the Lv1 of a dungeon in isekai (yup). He meets a girl who lives in the dungeon because she can’t afford rent, and discovers three things:

  1. everything in that new world is produced through mob drops
  2. his max level is Lv1, so he won’t level up, ever
  3. his drop skills are all S so he gets a lot of good stuff out of any monster that he kills

Run-off-the-mill isekai, but still fun stuff to watch in a rainy day.

The studio improved the characters by a lot, the manga is completely janky:

It’s a bit hard for me to compare it with isekai smartphone. Both are middle tier for me; it’s just that their flaws are different.

Haha lol that’s worse than in my memory.

My Isekai/fantasy tiers are just mediocre and normal.

Mediocre is dopey weird looking mc getting generic superpower #789 and testing out various ‘creative’ power uses somehow nobody ever thought of outside of other generic Isekai, magic=math/physics/programming when the author knows nothing on the subject, everyone falling in love with mc because ??? with absolutely zero social cues and even more confusing than romance in gundam (at least early uc). The magic one is possible to do without being obtuse and kinda forced though.

Normal is just minimal jank, easy to get back into after a hiatus and not get confused with other cookies from the cutter, etc. I have moved a lot of series from normal to mediocre as they aged poorly.

This is how I sort them in tachiyomi lol. They are overriding categories by which I mean any other genre will be ignored for sorting if it is also an isekai.
