Forget how you feel about republicans, how is this the good strategy move for the party? Why not use him hoarding documents as a way to pivot? Why stick behind him now?

Great question! No sane leadership would do this, so I can only believe they are following the whims of their financial backers (foreign interests). It’s almost as if they are being pushed to see what limit the American people will tolerate.

It’s just insane to me. I warned my dad the gop could try to bring in guys like me who don’t trust government so therefore like the idea of smaller local governments but also they want the government out of their lives so are socially liberal somewhere between the old GOP and the Libertarians… but after Covid they have doubled down on trans people are evil trump is god and Covid wasn’t/isn’t a big deal and it’s just like so I’m voting blue until 2052 or some shit because y’all can’t deal with being adults

This insane two-party system and single choice voting pretty much guarantee that we are only voting for “bought” candidates.

Problem is now we have the democrats who I don’t necessarily agree with all of their fiscal policies and the GOP who are actively encouraging fascism. Yes the two party system got us here but the GOP is the one actively trying to end democracy

You have to put yourself in their shoes. He has threatened to run as an independent previously and his base makes up an extremely large percentage of Republicans in general. If they don’t nominate him, they are basically dooming any chance of Republicans winning back as their votes will be split between two candidates.
