I cannot recommend Snowrunner enough. It’s my ultimate chillout game — just you, four wheels, and the mud. Ideally with a beer and some music.

That character creator looks fantastic in general.
Type C makes Magic Burst SO MUCH EASIER.
That said… once you get to this many pre-defined controller layouts… why not just implement full remapping??
I’m looking at this as the RE4 of the FF series - it’s a fantastic game in its own right, but it’s a massive departure from everything that’s come before, and you can certainly make the argument its “not a real FF game”. That doesn’t mean it’s not an excellent game, just very, very different.
It’s supposed to be, but it’s been really unreliable in practice. Whether that’s due to excess load or what, I don’t know.
This is a reply from lemmy.ml
Are there still issues with cross-instance content? Previously, if I signed in to lemmy.ca and subscribed to a channel on .ml, I didn’t see all content. Likewise, if I left a comment from my .ca account, it wouldn’t necessarily show up for users on .ml.
If this is still a problem, it’s a HUGE roadblock in being able to just tell people to join other instances, if we don’t want to fracture an existing community.
Edit: That may have simply been a result of the excess load?
Edit 2: Okay I’m testing and it looks like this was just an issue of load; I don’t seem to be having any further issues with this.
Edit 3: Comments from users on lemmy.world still don’t seem to propagate correctly. I can see them from .ml but not .ca
The problem is that the server owners are asking people not to do this because of the excess load, and currently cross-instance content simply isn’t working correctly. If you join another instance and subscribe to lemmy.ml/c/ps5, you don’t see all of the same content; likewise, content posted by people on the other instance doesn’t all filter through to the .ml instance.
So telling everyone to join .ml is crappy, and telling everyone to join a different instance is also crappy. We’re hoping that the lemmy devs get the issues sorted before the blackout ends so we can start directing people.
Yeah and I can only see this comment from this account, not the .ca account.
The .ca account also doesn’t appear to have mod powers, despite being in the list.
I assume this is all relating to the amount of load that .ml is under; last week my .ca account couldn’t see ANY comments from .ml. I don’t know how they synchronize content between instances, but clearly it’s not working reliably.
This whole system doesn’t work when you don’t see the same content from two different instances. I have a lemmy.ml account and subscribe to a community on lemmy.ml; I also have a lemmy.ca account, but if I log in there and subscribe to the same community from lemmy.ml, I don’t see the comments.
So if I actually want to interact with the community, my account needs to be on the same instance. From my reading I can’t tell if this is intentional or a bug, or permanent or temporary. Either way, it’s happening.
So you’re going to see this with every community migrating from Reddit because people want to follow the community.
I’m really, really trying not to get over-excited about this, but… I’m getting really, really excited for this.
Not even for the story DLC itself, but for the world improvements, if they’re anything like they’re promising.
I think what I’d suggest here is not trying to achieve content-parity with /r/PS5; a whole pile of threads with 0 comments is going to do more to make the sub…lemmy? look empty than it would if you had fewer submissions to begin with.
I’d consider starting with some basic, open-ended posts — “What’s everyone playing right now?”-type stuff — and get people talking, and then let the feed populate organically. Don’t worry about matching every submission to /r/PS5 to a corresponding one here.
Ironically, no. At least not in the early game.
