  • This is very cool! Coming from a beginner, it might make the first few games easier if you added an extra setting that would start the puzzle with one or two numbers already filled in (like a typical sudoku), as that gives a natural starting point. Obviously, it may not be needed if you mainly develop this for yourself :)

I believe in the Puzzle I attempted, the solution was not unique: at the end, two numbers could be placed interchangeably (in my case, I could switch around all "1"s and "4"s and end up with just as valid a solution - that is, of course, unless I missed something :)

Very cool little puzzle, thank you for sharing!

Why is it okay to honk for no reason? It should only be used as a last-resort warning in an emergency. Drivers using it for a greeting or to signal their annoyance (the light is green and I don’t want to wait!) is a problem as it disturbs anyone unfortunate enough to live nearby. :(

Yeah, I know. I’m fun at parties :D (But more to the point, lived in the city with tons of people honking for no reason)

  • I’ve read the claim that these terms “confuse customers”, but has that really happened more than a small handful of times? Do people really buy the clearly named “vegan burger”, go home and only then realize that it was not what they wanted? It seems absurd to think that customers are making these mistakes. I don’t even recall ever having seen one of those products not making it clear that they are vegetarian or vegan, that’s always their selling point.

Plus, it is highly convenient to name these products after what they are meant to replace and which form they share.

This seems like a pointless attack against vegetarian/vegan alternatives, which is unfortunate given that we’d probably want more people to eat (or at least consider eating) those rather than less.

  • I do like Audica a lot. It’s kind of like beat saber with guns, but as it can introduce precise timing from when you hit the trigger, it feels much more like a classical rhythm game. Song list isn’t everyone’s cup of tea (certainly isn’t my favorite), but the game is very fun and quite polished.

For a non rhythm game, try The Room VR. It is a puzzle/Room Escape game, and therefore not too long. But I did enjoy it quite a bit, it manages to convey a great sense of place.

  • Unless you hate the art style, the Atelier Games (especially the newer ones, like the “Ryza”-Trilogy or “Sophie 2” that got rid of the time limit) are definitely worth a look!

And if you enjoyed Stardew Valley, then Rune Factory might also be worth a look: the newest entry (5) is the first mainline 3d-title, which was a divise change (especially due to not amazing performance on the Switch), though I enjoyed it; but the “Special”-version of part 4 is also worth a look (if you can stomach the 3DS-style visuals)
