I’ll start this off light!
I’m justjared, been with my partner for 18 years and we have a 10yo daughter. I have begrudgingly (read: encouragingly) helped her build a stuffed animal collection that has everything from sting rays to camels, from toilet paper rolls to stuffed pop/soda plushies, and only a little disappointed she hasn’t taken to Lego a bit more.
On Reddit, I’ve been a mod on r/parenting for 7+ years, and I’ve been running the Parenting Discord for the past 3+ years. The communities that spring up in those places have a lot of good wisdom and tips :)
I’m hoping to meet a bunch of new faces here and learn about difficulties faced with parents who are disabled and their experiences in raising their children. My wife is recently-ish disabled and pivoting our parenting strategy has taken a few minutes to find our feet.
Welcome uymai! Nice to have you join us, I hope you find a lot of good resources :)
