  • Recommend uploading some more pictures. A wheel bearing doesn’t have to be expensive and if the rims, spokes and hub are still rolling then a new wheel seems like an expensive fix

Can you take some pictures of the hub after you’ve removed the axle, and do you see any damage to the rims (cracking around the spokes?), spokes (loose and can’t tighten or snapped?) or the hub (damage around the failed bearing?)?

It should be repairable if everything else is OK and the front wheel is obviously way way simpler than the rear

  • I’ve been reading up on some of these and starting to go back through previous years.

One concept I’ve been thinking about is something i think I heard Jared Logan mention (Stream of Blood, Glass Cannon GM). It was running combat as 3, 2, done. Ie only ever three rounds of “what do you do” and then the overall outcome is adjudicated which is a cool idea. Obviously not for games like pathfinder etc where combat is largely the point of it all, but i have less and less interest in running those kind of games.

It’s social interactions and puzzle solving ideally for me! Or extremely lethal stuff like Mork Borg where speedy combat is somewhat built in

  • Prompted me to give Jerboa a go after some time. I think it’s useable enough now to switch over and stick with.

It’s still massively behind sync in several areas obviously but it has most everything. Be good to have more UI options and a few other conveniences but the big stuff is there.

I did hedge on sync, just ad blocking the free version as the pro prices seemed a bit gouge-y but bear in mind the guy had his whole side hustle swiped away from him in a gross and upsetting manner!
