A weird mix of great and awful! Recovering well from a surgery I’ve wanted for years, just in time for my roommate to get laid off from work! All while my computer is dead, preventing me from working myself.
I make and sell… penises! Very advanced ones. Kinda sucks because sure not something you can slap on a resume.
Googling for “titan sub construction” and you can see pictures of it under construction, where the interior is clearly significantly smaller than the exterior, and there’s visible open space past an inner shell.
As someone who makes an actual (meager) living off helping fuel SL’s continued sexual content, that’s one thing that every virtual world ever since has flopped on. They wanna be family and advertiser friendly. People don’t want to be though. Sex sells, better than anything else does.
Linden Lab’s Sansar was their one attempt and it flopped so hard that they came back to desperately put their effort into SecondLife once more.
Stressing out!! Waiting for my broken car to get fixed, which I can barely afford, and will be fixed… on the day I go in for top surgery… on the 5th of July. So much financial juggling and trying to do things while being scared of getting sick at all.
At least Beehaw is here to decompress with. u
The 5th guy worked for the company that owned the salvage rights to the Titanic, was a professional diver, and was considered an expert on the Titanic, and he’d been on a lot of dives before to recover artifacts and map the wreck.
He more than anyone should have known this was the crappiest sub he’d ever been on, but he was seemingly obsessed. I can imagine he was invited and didn’t pay for a slot.
I know this entire sub was a shitshow, but… It had an interior wall. Stuff was mounted to that, not directly into the outer hull.
As someone that uses virtual machines frequently, I look at my like 16 hours in the game. Fuck. I hope they don’t do that, this is the Battlefield I’ve been wanting for years. ;-;
Hell. I had it turned off because Lemmy has dark themes, but turning that back on wiped the red tint that the site’s color palette uses on all the themes, that’s a LOT better. Thanks for the reminder!!
Honestly it hurts my eyes. I hope someone comes up with a few more themes or CSS-appliable styles for it.
Trying NOT to think about it, and failing real hard. The overwhelming sense of dread as things seem to keep getting worse little by little, has me trying to speedrun my transition so as much gets covered by insurance before 2024 comes around, because I’m afraid of what the US will be in 2025 lmao…
Christ. I didn’t expect things to get this scary this fast. As someone getting care under an ACA plan this becoming the New Thing In Congress is terrifying.
