That’s true. Though not a lot of devs there demoed games on Steam Deck. More indie devs did than AAA, but they all expressed interest.
It’s true! And it’s awesome to see so many people coming around to how great Linux can be.
The way it brought to light how viable Linux gaming is, and make it more widely adopted, has been awesome.
Similar to this? No, but you can use Heroic Launcher!
Thank you! I am glad you think so too :D
HELL YES!!!
Same here! SteamDeckHQ started with that 512GB LCD, and I still have it! 100% worth the upgrade, I love the OLED screen so much.
Why are you regretting the purchase now? If you have any questions about the Deck and what it can do, I would be happy to answer!
As much as we prefer going to the article, for obvious reasons, we also respect that some people don’t want to and just want the information. For something like this, which isn’t an opinionated/unique article, I see no reason to not just state the information in the body of the post.
Right?? I mean, we had the mod, but it was still a process.
I would say so. Now it just needs to get released…hopefully soon.
You won’t regret it!
Thank you! It’s something I would like to do more. The biggest reason why we haven’t is due to all of this being managed by one person (Noah/Me) and spreading myself thin. I still am a bit, but I am going to try (and maybe find some mods for our Lemmy community too).
That’s fantastic! This is a huge update, so it is great seeing it finally on its way out.
I’m hoping not. I am hopeful the price hike was specifically because of the Nintendo name, which wouldn’t be the case here.
That’s a great question. It’s hard to say as others see the benefit of getting in now. Though, the smaller companies have been getting more competitive lately with their models, features, and pricing. The OneXFly is only $40 more than the ROG Ally and the AIR 1S is $100 more with OLED. I’m hopeful the smaller companies will find ways to survive and focus on uniqueness.
Alienware UFO is a fantastic name :D
My bad! With this new SteamOS beta, Valve is starting to move the new updates into the stable branch.
