Good point, psychopaths are born without a strong bond to emotion or others. Sociopaths are made through environment. If sociopaths can be made, they can be healed. So 90% of the population is capable of love while at the most maybe 25% are ever capable of the higher levels of intelligence and strength.

We measure qualities like strength, drive and intelligence as markers for a successful life. We all have these qualities in limited amounts. There is only one quality that is possible for all people to possess in abundance. That is love.

With Love, even the most inept people can gather and form a society, and while they may lack a lot of material possessions and suffer greatly because of stupidity - they can have a community that even the richest and brightest people would love to be a part of.

In the other hand, without love, the smartest and most capable people are only capable of building well appointed prisons. They do things like kill babies and sell their body parts…

Catholicism defines freedom a little more (a lot more) conservatively. It isn’t the freedom to do anything, it is the freedom to do what is right. We are made in the image of God, YES! Few of us choose to walk in that image.

I love the idea of a voluntary society. No matter how you slice it, no matter how you design it, a strong man is always going to come along and gobble everything up.
