PC ports being awful was actually the norm back then. We PC gamers used to praise companies that released good ports, when it should be the bare minimum. Granted we still get crappy ports from time to time, even with big game releases that should be taken good care of (looking at you, Last of Us Part 1), but generally speaking, I’d say that awful ports are now less common than good ones.
No. The internals have been significantly modified on the OLED version. Also, the OLED screen is slightly bigger, since the OLED Deck has smaller bezels.

I played the entire game, start to finish, on release, on my Deck. It crashed twice, apart from that, no issues, and certainly no hoops or ladders.

Wrong, they need to make GTA6 run on the Steam Deck. We need better made games, not more powerful hardware to bruteforce through poorly optimized games.
