Last time my husband went to a movie it was 70 bucks for two tickets, a big diet soda, a big popcorn and a sour patch kids.

Also the movie was 3.5 hours long. Unsurprisingly I had to take a shit in that time frame which I hate doing in public, especially in a place with 8 stalls and kids small enough to look under them.

I used to love going to the movies. In high school I would pay for one ticket and hop around and to this day it occurs to me when a movie from that time frame comes out I’ve often only seen 40% of it. I love the rancid coconut oil smell and the sticky carpets.

But if I’m going to hire a sitter I’m not going to spend 4 hours watching 2 hours of actual movie while my high wears off.

There’s no article. Some reddit comment I saw two days ago, I don’t remember where named Bezos. And, given the WP and the shipping lane thing it makes sense as rumor.

I don’t know. I saw somebody on Reddit say Bezos had something to do with it.

I did see on a recent Google search that Bezos pulled money out of an Israeli venture. It was food, not weapons. The war was sited specifically as the reason, not ethically, but due to the instability of the Israeli market.

If this is true, my guess is that it’s in his interest that the war end. Maybe the shipping lane thing, I dunno.

It’s just really weird the WP was the first to post this story, rather than the intercept or AJ or something like that.

It seems weird that one shot right to the Washington Post, which isn’t typically how these things leak out. Bezos was in allegedly in the chat, but I don’t know if WP would have done this if there was anything incriminating about Bezos.

I love this as a fan theory, I love the intrigue. You have a group of your competition willing to throw themselves on the pire in increasingly obviously ways. You sit on the chat and then once the damage is done blast that out from your own newspaper. Maybe he had beef the Kind bar guy. Maybe this ordeal is fucking with his portfolio overall. Maybe he just wanted to throw his weight around and knock the other reptilians down a few pegs.

Israel’s response at the ICJ was an interesting watch. The body language was like a kid who comes home after a fight at school, knowing the school is going to call your parents, jumping everytime the phone rings.

Looking at that thing and saying it’s worth “billions” is so illustrative of the larger problem. Like, the Chinese or Russians could probably start churning this out for 200k in 2-3 years if they aren’t already.
