For my experience (not on steam Deck) it’s actually playable if you have good internet. One downside is that sometimes you need to wait on the queue if a lot of people is trying to play

Dont sell your vita. is stilla great device, great to emulate those systems on a smaller and lighter device than steam deck. i think they can live together very well
Dead Cells gets messed up for me, thats the only game i have issues with
If you have a lot of commute time, or you travel, or in general you are a lot outside your house yeah its a great device. I play other games that i never end up playing on my pc becaus i just end up playing PUBG, Fortnite or Battlefield. Now i can play Dirt Rally or Dead Cells anywhere!
