Smacking myself in the skull repeatedly with the back hatch glass while simultaneously getting permanent lumbar damage due to the seat being outside the 4 wheels.

A rumble seat was originally a stowaway type seat at the rear open compartment of horse drawn carriages. Meant to be used occasionally.
Henry Ford is partly responsible for making them popular again. They are mostly a novelty of very limited use. Small, uncomfortable, and lacking any sort of safety features due to what they are. Back in my youth I apprenticed at a custom automobile shop, rat rods with rumble seats were really popular for a while. I’ve ridden in several of them and they all invariably suck to ride in.
Pahk the cah over at Sag Hahbah.
Not drying in the conventional sense, like drying with a towel. It’s moreso like, removing the water from stuff and just replacing it with something else. That something else is not electrically conductive so it doesn’t cause current creep/arcing/shorting.
it’s likely not going to gum up too much, but it will some. It is probably going to partially polymerize, stick, and cause more gunk/fuzz to stick long term.
WD-40 used as a loosening agent is ancillary to its intended purpose ; a dielectric water displacing spray for ‘drying’ parts, so think removing water from automotive distributors/spark plug boots etc. . WD-40 is the 40th iteration of Water Displacing fluid, hence its name. It’ll work in a pinch as a lube but neither long term nor heavy duty.
Also, it shouldn’t corrode motors or cause seizing.
Sewing machine oil/light machine oil is the exact thing to use here. Light machine oil is good for just about everything except lock tumblers.
Next time try using ‘light machine oil’ AKA sewing machine oil. It’s thin and will creep between surfaces and lubricate properly. Marvel Mystery Oil, automatic transmission fluid would work here too. You want something thin that flows well.
I dunno why but Sag Harbor has a Boston accent in my head. Sag Hahbah.
NHIL has some pretty informative and interesting stuff. I dunno why but i get some major chud vibes from him tho.
Its pretty problematic yeah, but im not sure it rates as manmade horror beyond comprehension.
Nothing should be funny, sorry to spoil your “fun”.
soooey pig
Honestly? I have no idea. Not much i reckon. But i know from having played around with it extensively once upon a time it is nothing but noxious chemicals so i cant imagine it takes exposure to much to become toxic. Six of one, half dozen of another i suppose.
If you can smell it, youre inhaling it. Close your windows or get some drafting going.
