  • I’ve had all three ally, go and deck OLED. The OLED the best in terms of quality and I wish it had VRR but the go also doesn’t have VRR.

In my opinion the 90hz is more obtainable more often on the deck at native then 144hz is at native on the go. Without integer scaling being “officially” working on the go running at the lower resolution on the go looks bad and even more so with the screen size. I would suggest you get that enabled asap when you can also.

Response times are much better on the deck but HDR takes the cake when it’s available and is really the big in your face upgrade on the OLED deck.

The software in the deck also made my go seem like a a beta product in comparison. While I think the go will get better for sure it simply can’t keep up with valves software development on the deck along with a proven track record for pushing handhelds forward with new ideas etc.

Sleep/resume can’t be beat either. You can set the power button to hibernate on the go but it’s not the same.

The go has worse speakers but they aren’t the end of the world.

Track pads aren’t even close the decks are better and have much more functionality then the one on the go.

The weight is much lighter on the deck as well.

The fan on the go is horrid it’s just so damn loud and whiny.

I overall will return my go and get another OLED deck for my wife it’s been a massive upgrade from our lcd decks and imo is a big upgrade from the go for just some of the reasons above.
