The funniest thing about this is I can say this is true and if anyone says otherwise then they just prove a point

I see, thanks for the explainer. Guessing based on the comments it must be somewhat common for this sensation to happen to people at least once in their life. The only time I had an odd sensation in bed is when I actually fell out of my bed, it was very disorienting but the difference is I actually fell out of my bed.

This sounds like the concept from the movie, Enemy of the state, except it seems the application will be much bigger then just tracking down someone trying to release dirt on your country
I’ve never experienced this before in my life, sounds awful though

If we needed to organize in a secure way encrypted messaging is a good start, the government may try to ban it but it’s basically impossible short of completely killing the internet entirely. The hard part is getting a large group of people together to stand against this. France has little issue organizing because most of the population is packed together and is far less land mass as well. The United States is far too big and not very populated considering the land mass. However seeing how black lives matter protests went I can tell one thing that we failed to do. We never completely pushed towards the end goal, we never reformed the system, only got the cons in the slammer. If we want change, it’ll be physical but more than that, it has to be complete, no stone unturned, we can’t settle for half baked protests. We need an all out revolution, and we need a competent leader to guide us toward that success. If we wanna sit here on our asses complaining about this then we’re fucked, we need action and we need it now.
I honestly am at a loss of words, this is extremely scary and nerve wracking. I couldn’t describe the bottomless pit I feel in my stomach, you either know it or are in on it. If republicans get into office it’s game over, nothing less then a monolithic dystopia. We need to stop this at all costs, even if it gets physical, this has gone on for too long without much resistance.
I think the initial comment is satire but let’s imagine it’s real and reading something like this can get you in trouble. When do you stop caring? When does the threat of getting put behind bars or a huge fine become meaningless? Even if it’s just for criminals now, the government is creating a weapon that can be used against anyone.
I need a /s bro this timeline
Bro what? How is anyone liable on Lemmy? If anyone is liable it’s the journalist writing the article.
I’ve never been the most confident or outgoing person, it’s just not who I am. I’m also not gonna fill this thread with outcry or a winded sob-story. Instead I will say, use whatever medium you choose to find the person you wish to spend your time with. It’s a short life, live how you wish to live, I’ll do the same.
A portion of men have no control over their sexual desires so I can’t say I blame those people for not caring.
Perhaps I’m just paranoid, anxious and completely unfixable but I personally hate the concept of online dating. I feel like it’s the same problem I have with most online services, being a product to advertisers and nothing more then a number. Once again it’s probably me being paranoid but I’m at a point where I would rather just not go through the trouble of dating at all, especially since this data is from 2017 and has most likely favoured online dating further
Do you have anything better to do? Seriously read a book or do something productive.
