Oh my god I’d love a world where ‘how are you’ can be answered honestly or never asked at all.
Oh my god I’d love a world where ‘how are you’ can be answered honestly or never asked at all.
This relative checks so many terrible boxes for things you hate in gaming and fiction that I wonder if he was created in a lab just to torment you.
I wish folks like that would get isekai’d into their treat worlds only to discover that ‘realism’ would utterly fuck them up.
This reminds me of that story here a while back about the autistic man who didn’t react appropriately to someone’s death and being convicted of murder.
It’s fucking bleak out here that we have to make Oscar- winning emotional performances to convince people we have feelings.
I think masking as a concept gets mistaken as just concealing ND traits, when there is this element of forced emoting involved as well. You’re actively masking when you force a smile to convince a person that you’re actually happy. God forbid you can’t cry on command to align with the pain you’re feeling.
If someone tells you they’re feeling a certain way, just believe them. You have nothing to lose.
He’s supposed to be this big brained genius and this is the way he approaches humor? This is the way he talks?
I mean fuck SNL, but he has the chance to do a comedy skit to an audience of milions and the best he could come up with is to flash people? I knew he wasn’t funny, but god damn that’s pathetic.
He’s a fucking billionaire with all the time in the world. If he wasn’t so fucking arrogant, he could hire a comedy writer to coach him. He could take lessons. He could buy any number of books. Hell, he could go on YouTube and watch a video for free.
I dunno where I’m going with this, but I have a complicated relationship with IQ and genius and what that looks like in a person, so to see this creatively bankrupt person pass himself as this Tony Stark witty genius feels a little jokerfying.
They have millions and a loyal fanbase and it’s still not enough for them. They have to poison them too. Imagine being that hollowed out.
Oh yeah, same. It’s just magical thinking and offers of nostalgia.
I know it’s fake, but this makes me sad.
Make it stop hurting.
It’s just the cope people go through to navigate a worsening economy while lacking class consciousness. If you perpetuate the belief that the responsibility is on the consumer, then you can look at the exploitation and say it’s because they weren’t smart shoppers who did their homework. The system doesn’t need to change, you just need to be smarter.
It’s just another permutation of personal responsibility politics used to ignore the systemic problems we’re seeing. It’s telling customers not to be stupid instead of questioning why videogame companies keep selling low quality garbage with pre-order bonuses to hook people who want to look forward to something.
It’s bad to do the pre-orders and get invested like with Starfield, but the people offering warnings like that are more just trying to prove they are being a smarter shopper. That they won’t get duped by the hype.
Brunch is singing her siren song and we’re gonna crash into the rocks.
Lol I never forgot. Those ideologies also destroyed queer lives, lives in the middle east, and lives in the global south. The memory of the US is about 3 seasons of television long.
Real energy.
Do you to think Ronald Reagan or his supporters actually oppose the policies within Project 2025?
I’m not saying you should vote for Trump, but the worst people supporting Kamala Harris isn’t the win they seem to think it is.
Please, any unironic Kamala supporters, could you tell me how this is a win and not a condemnation of her ‘platform?’
Yeah. It’s FOMO for me. I want to be part of the conversation sometimes and these games just stop being active.
Playing Skyrim, Final Fantasy X-2 and Theatrhythm on Switch.
Reading Slewfoot, about a woman in the 1600s being tormented by puritans and possibly a nature spirit or demon.
I’ve been sober off edibles for a week now and did some novel reading. I’ve been trying to comfort and entertain myself without spending money, and I went a whole week without making a purchase.
I got paid today though, so I’m going to try to make it stick. Reading the books and playing the games I already have and facing my issues instead of trying to cope with stress in unhealthy ways.
That’s a cool strategy! I never considered microexercises.
I hope you feel better soon, comrade!
Please tell me this was made ironically.
I think trying to imitate meat goes against some of the basic philosophy of veganism. We should move away from trying to get the taste of animal blood and fat to make a meaty flavor. It’s trying to create the illusion of commodified animal suffering. At least that’s how I see it.
It’s energy and resources better spent on making food available to others.
And besides, meat just isn’t that healthy.
