Why is the audio jack issue locked and awaiting confirmation from valve. I have issues with one low impedance headphone but not with another historically extremely sensitive pair. I also noticed that it comes and goes.
This is an actively developing issue and locking the main post is weirdly boot licking. People are reporting widespread issue - yes let’s lock the discussion because all mighty infallible valve hasn’t officially responded to the issue……
(This is coming from someone absolutely glowing about the OLED and valves decision to even make the thing as much of an upgrade as they have. - I want to find a solution or pattern and locking discussion is really frustrating)
Anyone that has moderately sensitive IEMs will have this issue. Those that claim not to have the issue either have higher resistance headphones, or do not have good hearing in the frequency of the interference.
My suggestion is to get the Apple usbc to 3.5 dongle. Cheap and actually a very accurate dac. Just need to go into the bios and change the usb configuration from DRD to xihc(or something like that) so you can plug in and it will start working without having to reboot the system.
