Asking the real questions.
Oh shit, I think I’m gonna be fine.
Ha! Same thought at pretty much the same time. Good to see you fellow elder.
The switch from NiCad to the mass adoption of LiPo was pretty revolutionary in my eyes. That might just be me showing my age though 😅
Tenet IV:
The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one’s own.
Bro can post what they want and you have no say in the matter.
Nah. Ultra left socialist.
I watched the first season. I’ve never been a huge LOTR fan (watched and enjoyed the movie trilogy but never read the books) so I didn’t really mind that they were taking liberties with the source material. The only criteria I had was they had to tell a good story. And the just… didn’t. I was bored out of my mind the whole time. Not planning on watching the second season. I feel like I wasted enough time already with the first one.
Fuck me. I wasn’t even thinking in that context. I thought it was in reference to a new Lemmy thing like “Rule”.
Protocol 2? Im definitely missing some context.
Now that you mention it, yeah. Why does loctite do that?
Deep breaths buddy. In… Out…
No one is attacking you. In… Out…
You are capable of taking a joke. In… Out…
It’s hyperbole, my guy.
This is America… That is not a guarantee.
So after some googling, apparently this is a VERY widespread practice spanning multiple brands, multiple manufacturers, all around the US; but I can’t seem to find any explanation. It can’t just be industry-wide madness, right? …Right?
Take a second look. Salted butter = Orange box, Blue wrapper. Unsalted butter = Blue box, Orange wrapper.
Watched the video just out of curiosity. The one thing they failed to mention is why we should care if they lose their trademark. That sounds like a them problem.
I’ve seen this one which may fit what you’re looking for. No idea about open source firmware though.
This one might work for you too.
Really though, if you’re already spending money on a smart switch, you should probably just replace the outlet, other switch, and faceplate with decora (rectangle style) versions while you’re at it. It’s only going to run about $10 total for all those. Plus you can then use a smart switch that meets your firmware needs.
How many times do we have to play this game before people realize it’s not a researcher, lawyer, doctor, or anything that has to rely on facts and established, valid data?
It’s a next-word generator that’s remarkably good at sounding human. Yes, this can often lead to accurate sounding information, but it doesn’t actually “know” anything. Not in any sense that could be relied on.
You have to understand we are not normal users. Anyone even remotely interested in federated software are not normal users.
Bluesky may not have 57 third party apps and that’s why people are flocking to it. It’s easy. The signup process through the app involved no selecting of servers, no understanding of what it actually is under the hood, and users are greeted by a default algorithm that feels very much like old Twitter before Musk.
Basically, regular users do not care about the fediverse and just want a competent and polished app and site experience.
