Might be hacked accounts. The same happens on facebook. Some friend had their account stolen, and could not get it back. Half a year later the name and profile picture changes to “Elon Musk”. Reported it to facebook for Scam and “Impersonating public figure”. They have a report category for this exact case, so surely they know that this is a problem and they will take care of it, right? Nope, according to Facebook everything is A-Ok with the account, and no action is taken.

Have you seen the tunnels on Google maps? They are essentially a tunnel from one side of a parking lot, under the main street, to the entrance of the convention center across the road. A distance you could walk in 5 mins on street level, except your way is blocked by the 6 lane road without pedestrian crossing.

Yeah, but you can do this in the background without blocking the whole page. In fact you have to go to extra lengths to make it “block” the whole page. Maybe it’s just some css that sets the cursor to the “loading” image, and then ignores mouse clicks for a while, giving the illusion of doing lots of work…

• weil man erst ein neues schienennetz, bahnhoefe, stellwerke, werkshallen zur reperatur bauen muesste, was in deutschland mindestens 20 jahre bis zur ersten fahrt dauern wuerde, selbst wenn man finanzierungsprobleme, kostenueberlaeufe und anwohnerklagen ignoriert
• weil es bei preis, verbindungen und geschwindigkeit in direkter konkurenz zu schnellzuegen wie ICE stuende. Wozu zwei systeme bezahlen die den selben zweck erfuellen?
• die leute wollen lieber billigen, zuverlaessigen und wenn moeglich direkten transport ohne viel umsteigen als eine gadgetbahn die am ende teurer als flugzeug oder schnellzug ist
• teure schnellzuege lohnen sich fuer den betreiber nur in gegenden mit hoher bevoelkerungsdichte, und wo der zug auch noch schneller als das auto ist wie in Japan und China - da fahren die schnellzuege quer durchs land wirklich alle 10 minuten und sind trotzdem immer voll.
• viel sinnvoller wäre es, wenn es ein einheitliches Buchungssystem wie bei Flügen gäbe, und man seine Zugfahrt Kiel nach Venedig auf einer Webseite komplett buchen könnte, statt für jedes Land neue Fahrkarten zu kaufen.

In Deutschland wird das geld lieber in autobahnen gesteckt, es gibt kein templimit und das schienennetz vergammelt.

Mit steigendem alter erhöhen sich auch Wartungskosten und Ausfallzeiten wegen Reperatur. Irgendwann ist es billiger eine neue Bahn zu haben die fährt, statt eine alte die ständig wegen Reperatur ins Depot muss.

This will not happen, as long as other people find a way to use “religion” for power, influence or financial gain. Some people already thought that the mass adaption of the internet would be the end of religion, scams and other fraud preying on the gullible minds, because people could just read up what the catch is and not fall for it, right?

Unfortunately the scams just adapted, made their own flashy homepages that mostly outranked critical information and people just choose to belive what they want to belive.

Nachrichten “privat halten” bei einer App die zu Facebook/Meta gehört? Selbst wenn der Transport verschlüsselt ist, wäre es doch ein leichtes den Klartext nach der Entschlüsselung im Hintergrund an Facebook zu schicken. Würde mich zumindest nicht überraschen…
