This should never have been made. It sows divisiveness and wastes time for no concrete benefit. It will be difficult to moderate and won’t even be fun to participate in.

The problem with this type of community (unpopularopinions) is that most of the posts are bait. It also doesn’t help that the most popular of opinions get upvoted

They also quickly devolve from “I like to wear wet socks” to “some people don’t deserve human rights.”

I disagree with the premise of this community. Therefore I agree with you.

How do you like them apples?

Apples are absolutely horrendous, have you ever bitten into a so-called “Red Delicious”? Mealy, grainy garbage, we give them to people in cafeterias as a form of subtle torture.

Regarding your levels of agreement and disagreement, considering you’re bringing up apples and violating one of the sub rules, (every comment must disagree with the previous) I’m uncertain how much this is worth.

If this comment is meta, yeah, I agree. With just the hotdog post I saw that it is a bad idea. I think we need better rules.

If it is not meta, I disagree. We just need better rules to evoque healthy arguments.

      I disagree with both.

From a meta standpoint, people will figure it out, mostly and eventually, it will just take a little time. (This is a real opinion.)

From a non-meta standpoint, I think the current rules are fine as is, we simply need mods to enforce the current rules strictly as-written. (this is a fake opinion)

Talking in all seriousness, people just need to figure out that not a single thing within this sub can be taken seriously, by its nature. The person that made it even referred to it in terms of role playing, which means we can very easily be acting at any given time, and probably usually will be. It’s a new sort of shitposting sub, basically.

I suppose this could be explained more thoroughly in the sidebar, but frankly I find everyone’s confusion and difficulties with “getting it” to be more amusing than anything else. We’ll just have to see how it goes though.
