    I keep seeing people straight up saying that Epic doesn’t want to port things to Linux because they don’t like Linux.

    Well, let’s be honest, this is almost certainly because of they amount of money they have estimated they would get out of porting the Epic Store and Fortnite to Linux isn’t worth the costs.

    You also have to remember that it was only a (few) month(s) ago that Epic Games sold Bandcamp and had a layoff. They’re currently investing in the metaverse, which I think everyone in this community believes is useless — but it’s also seems like a major cost.

    I’m not saying that Epic’s beliefs are right. I think if a major big-name game came to Linux with proper cross-compatibility and not on Steam that they’d earn a lot of money, it’d help the Linux gaming market have proper competition, and that it would allow more people to use Linux. I think all of those are good things, but, I’m not a financial expert, so what do I know?
