LeBron is worth $1 billion lol. Yeah that’s a lot of money, but still the lower strata of billionaires. How is this remarkable in any way?

Isn’t that dude a massive chud? Why’s he mad about a dude getting rich off sweatshops. That’s capitalism 101.

    Oh right, it’s because :us-foreign-policy:

The WWE merger already has dudes acting like 90s heels. Pathetic lol.

I had no clue the wwf and ufc merged under an umbrella. I think vince even said during the xfl shit that if there wasn’t locker room drama they’d create it. This shit is definitely heel material.

“leave it or come deal with me”

Why would those possibly be lebrons only two options, lmao? I guess this is just some weird clout chasing. No one has ever heard of this fighter guy, and I guess you do this to rile up your fans or try to piggyback on LeBron’s fame?

I am convinced he gets ppv points because they realized him being a loud jackass at press events gets people to tune in and hope he leaves the cage bloody.

Unfortunately he wins more than he doesn’t.

He wore a maga with some sort of powdered wig to a recent one. His opponent had to pull out for “pneumonia”. Instead of keeping it short they just had him roast the guy in absentia. Can’t let the writers work go to waste I guess.

Kind of fascinating, but I suppose it makes sense. I’m not very up to date, but I think the ufc still has pretty shitty pay and total compensation, in a way other pro us sports don’t.

So, I guess most stellar athletic talent in this country goes on to some other higher paid sport, like how so many talented heavyweight wrestlers just go to the NFL.

As a way to leverage this, you train your lesser athletic talent for promos to generate some heat and sell tickets. Makes sense from a business point of view.

I think you’re correct about the business logic, Colby isn’t good enough to merit the fame and spotlight he gets so he grabs it with his persona (debatable how fake it is, he’s an ass on some level regardless).

When he was queued to get cut from the ufc for, iirc, being a boring fighter, he leaned incredibly hard into a persona of being maga. He’d be seen with bikini clad women and insult the “nerds and virgins.” He’d piss people off talking about their relatives. After his defeat against Usman, he congratulates him and talks about how it’s all show. He ended up getting assaulted outside of a different event after that. In the latest vlogs he’s calmed down his persona a lot having become a mainstay and getting that title shot again. He still calls the haters snowflakes and is very chud-chique, but he put the act away.

edit: he showed up to the press conference dressed like a founding father, nevermind

This guy hasn’t even figured out that the frothingfash ”If you hate America so much, then leave it!” line only works when you say it to a person who has no practical way of moving elsewhere, not a billionaire who can live wherever he wants.

You absolutely don’t have to hand it to Colby Covington, because of course it’s coming from the point of view of “look at the opportunity this great country gave you to exploit people”. But even the chuds can kind of see the obvious exploitation that’s going on in the shoe making industry. LeBron James willfully engages in that - about 2/3rds of his wealth has come from endorsement deals, investments and other capitalist behavior. That has real consequences - a lot of people were exploited to generate that $900 million worth of wealth.

Of course, because there’s Zero class consciousness among Americans, no thought will be given to the other 1/3rd of Lebron’s wealth, about $450 million made from 20 years of labor playing basketball. That’s a lot of money, but it was subject to the same theft of surplus that every other wage laborer is subject to - his labor made a fuckton more than that for the owners of the Lakers, Heat and Cavs.

Hm. Cracker running his mouth at a Black man on some completely-predictable tough guy cac shit. “Leave or come deal with me” lmfao bullets beat skin and muscle homie; all that muscle ain’t bothering anyone with a strap.

Which nowadays, I don’t care if you’re a comrade or a misleader(and make no mistake; if you’re a Black billionaire ain’t never kicked back your dragon’s hoard into your community or the communities of those less fortunate than yours, I consider you a misleader AT BEST), if you’re Black of skin in 2023, you need a tool and a concealed carry license.

Americans will criticize China and the DPRK for their “dystopian” displays of national pride but will demand someone be executed for not standing for the anthem.
