Being buried alive in Gaza is the most nightmarish thing I can imagine.

First there’s the pain of being crushed by rubble and burned by fire. Then the darkness. Then the horrible noises of bombs hitting more places around you and the agonized wails and screams all day and all night. The horrible crushing loneliness - is anyone looking for you? Is your whole family dead? Then the thirst and hunger. Then the stink of smoke and dust and the burning and rotting flesh of your family. Then, as dehydration sets in, hallucinations begin.

    Tortured to death.
