I have a recurring issue where MS Teams makes my Framework run insanely hot. It then disconnects audio halfway through calls. Video still works, but looses audio. GPU hardware acceleration has no affect.

It’s extremely frustrating when on client calls.

Only common factors are me and the framework - all other setups no issue.

Any ideas?

    Which OS?

Sounds driver related. Work have had various issues on Windows with certain ThinkPads due to Teams having some weird interaction with the power management driver.

Teams is somewhat of a resource hog, as the “application” is basically a self contained web browser running the app.

I personally use throttle stop to underclock my laptop, then it’ll stop your laptop getting too hot and probably cooking your audio connector
