Hi, I’ve had an official Steam Deck Dock since late Summer and have had no problems. Suddenly after I ran the 3.5 update on my Docking Station it will not work with my alt monitor I have my Switch and Deck connected to. It’s not the monitor as I tested it with my Switch and it still works. Should I try and see if it will work with my television and cut my losses if it’s the Dock that’s faulty?

I’m looking at this issue now, but in the meanwhile, try this short term workaround:

Cold boot (from shutdown) while docked, or, if you get into this mode, try doing a quick sleep/wake of your device.

Let me know if that does/doesn’t help, and if you still have trouble, please post your display model number, which display connector (and cable, if convenient) you’re using. It helps with reproducing symptoms on my end.

Since the dock can be powered directly from the Steam Deck itself, if a bad setting or mode gets set, it can be “remembered” even when power cycling with the USB-C power supply. Make sure to unplug Deck + PSU when resetting.

Cold boot (from shutdown) fixed the issue for me (LCD Q3 '22 model). Specifically, I

      1. shut the Deck down, disconnected from everything
      2. plugged Deck into dock (no mains power)
      3. plugged HDMI into dock
      4. turned Deck on

This also fixed the issue I’ve been having for about a month where desktop mode wouldn’t display on the TV (LG A1 OLED 2022 model).
