I run my steam deck on an older Sony 4k TV and gaming mode had worked flawlessly until out of the blue it didn’t… now only desktop mode works with my jsaux dock. I’ve tried other cords, settings, updates, unplugged power while docked, hdmi while docked etc… im completely out of ideas… I have other Sony TV’s and game mode works instantly upon plugging my dock in with no changes… I didn’t change any settings on the TV or deck to “make it not recognize the signal” … anyone ever figure this out ?

Could you please try the following suggestions and let me know the results?

    Step 1: Check the connection

    ● Please check the interface and charger to make sure they are clean.

    ● Please use a Power Delivery (PD) charger rated above 45W or the power supply provided by Steam Deck to power the dock.

    ● Check if the HDMI interface is secure; ensure that you have selected the correct display input on your TV or monitor.

    ● Please use an HDMI2.0 or HDMI2.1 standard video cable. Try selecting an HDMI cable with a length of less than 4 meters to maintain signal stability.

    ● Excessive transfers (such as through an HDMI Switch) can weaken the signal and result in no signal output. If you need to use an HDMI Switch, try an HDMI cable with both ends shorter than 2 meters. Avoid using any different video ports adapters (such as HDMI to DisplayPort)

Step 2: Try another cable or device

    ● Please use another USB-C to USB-C 3.2 cable or above to connect the hub and the device to check if it works properly. Ensure that this USB-C 3.2 cable (transmission rate≥10 gpbs) is capable of transmitting video signals .

    ● Test with multiple HDMI cables. Attempt to directly connect the Steam Deck using HDMI to check if the cable is functioning normally.

    ● Try a different device to connect to the docking station (such as laptop, desktop, phone/tablet with display out capabilities).

Step 3: Change settings and reset

    ● Adjust the external monitor to a suitable resolution/refresh rate or lower it. You can try adjusting it to 1080p@60Hz to see if it can display normally.

    ● To reset the dock, unplug both the Steam Deck and the dock completely, including power and monitor cables. Then, plug the cables back in.

    Step 4: Provide more information

    ● If the above troubleshooting steps are unsuccessful, please provide the brand and model of the devices you’re connecting.

    ● Please send us a video about your process of connecting the product.

    ● Can the HDMI interface output video normally when trying not to connect to a power source?

If the above troubleshooting plan is not feasible, please tell us more information, and we will feedback it to the technical staff for targeted inspection.
